Dry-Ice Blasting

Powerful cleaning without water, sand or leftover blasting media.

RestoraPlus uses professional dry-ice blasting technology to remove difficult grease, carbon, residue and buildup from appropriate surfaces around the home. The cleaning medium disappears as it works, leaving the removed contamination behind — not a pile of blasting material.

The Technology

So what exactly is dry-ice blasting?

Dry-ice blasting uses solid carbon dioxide — CO₂ — accelerated in a stream of compressed air and directed at the surface being cleaned. Unlike sand, water or other blasting materials, the dry ice changes directly from solid to gas during the process.

01

Impact

The dry-ice particles strike the unwanted buildup, helping break its bond with the underlying surface.

02

Rapid Cooling

The extremely cold dry ice can create a temperature difference between the contamination and the surface, helping loosen stubborn material.

03

Sublimation

The dry ice converts directly into CO₂ gas. That means the cleaning medium itself does not remain behind as water, sand or abrasive debris.

Watch It Work

The difference is easiest to understand when you see it.

Dry-ice blasting gives the operator a way to direct cleaning into corners, textured surfaces, components and difficult areas that can be frustrating to attack by hand.

  • Pressure and blasting settings can be adjusted for the project
  • Different nozzles can reach detailed and difficult areas
  • The process introduces no added water from the blasting medium
  • The dry ice itself disappears during cleaning
Why RestoraPlus Uses Dry Ice

Built for the jobs normal cleaning struggles with.

We aren't trying to replace ordinary house cleaning. RestoraPlus focuses on difficult, detailed and heavily used areas where a more specialized process makes sense.

01

No Added Water

Dry ice isn't water-based, making it useful for many projects where soaking the area is undesirable.

02

No Leftover Media

The dry ice sublimates instead of leaving sand, beads or another blasting medium behind.

03

Detailed Access

The blasting stream can reach corners, textures and detailed areas that are difficult to scrub manually.

04

Adjustable

Pressure, dry-ice flow and technique can be adjusted based on the surface and the buildup being removed.

Around The Home

Where we put the technology to work.

Every project is evaluated individually, but these are the primary types of projects RestoraPlus is built around.

Outdoor Cooking

Grills, built-in grills, Blackstones, smokers, pizza ovens and related equipment.

Kitchens

Ovens, ranges, stovetops, burner components, hoods and difficult cooking buildup.

Tile & Bathrooms

Appropriate tile, grout, showers and other selected hard-surface applications.

Specialty Projects

Difficult items and surfaces that may be good candidates for dry-ice cleaning.

Precision Matters

Dry-ice blasting is powerful — but it isn't a one-setting-fits-all process.

Surface type, coating, age, existing damage and the type of contamination all matter. That's why RestoraPlus reviews every project before service and adjusts the process to the application.

Surface Evaluation We review the material and condition before determining the approach.
Adjustable Settings Air pressure, dry-ice flow and technique are selected for the project.
Test When Appropriate Certain materials may receive a small test area before full treatment.
From Photos To Service

Here's how a RestoraPlus project works.

We use photos up front so we can understand both the buildup and the underlying surface before scheduling.

1

Tell us what you want cleaned.

Complete the short RestoraPlus quote form and select the category that best fits your project.

2

Text us photos.

We'll text you after the form is submitted. Reply with one full-project photo and a few close-ups of the buildup or problem areas.

3

We evaluate the project.

We review the material, buildup, condition and overall scope to determine whether the project is appropriate for RestoraPlus.

4

Review your quote.

You'll receive a personalized quote showing your primary service and any relevant optional add-ons.

5

Schedule the service.

Approve the quote, securely save your payment method and select an available appointment.

6

We put the dry ice to work.

On service day, we inspect the project, set up the equipment and perform the approved cleaning.

For indoor projects, ventilation and the surrounding work area are evaluated as part of the service setup.

The Goal

Remove the buildup — not just cover it up.

The value of dry-ice blasting is its ability to attack difficult contamination directly while giving us precise control over the cleaning process.

That's what RestoraPlus is built around: finding the heavily used, difficult-to-clean areas around your home and determining whether this technology can help rejuvenate them.

Dry-Ice Blasting FAQ

Common questions about the process.

Is dry-ice blasting the same thing as pressure washing? No. Pressure washing relies on water. Dry-ice blasting uses solid CO₂ particles carried by compressed air, so the blasting medium does not introduce added water.
Does dry ice leave anything behind? The dry ice itself sublimates into CO₂ gas. The material removed from the surface still has to be managed, but there is no secondary dry-ice blasting media to collect afterward.
Does dry-ice blasting use cleaning chemicals? The core dry-ice blasting process uses dry ice and compressed air rather than conventional cleaning detergents. Certain projects may still require complementary finishing steps depending on the surface and desired result.
Can you use dry ice on every surface? No. The underlying material, coating, condition and blasting settings all matter. RestoraPlus evaluates each project and may perform a small test area when appropriate.
Why do you ask for photos first? Photos help us evaluate the surface, type of buildup and overall project scope before we prepare your quote or schedule service.
Can you use dry-ice blasting indoors? Some indoor projects can be appropriate. The project, surrounding area and ventilation must all be evaluated before service.
